Au revoir

I've decided to close up shop. It has been over a year since I last posted and every time I log into blogger to work on design boner, my first blog sits there very lonely and nagging at me. I've been thinking about this for a few months now and have just now taken the guts to say goodbye. I'm sure I'll pop up somewhere else on the internet and for now there's always db.

I have six paintings hanging at the wonderful Andersonville restaurant Il Fiasco. There will be a meet and greet/reception on Friday, June 20 from 6-8pm. Please come out to support some local Chicago artists and a great neighborhood restaurant (amazing pizza, delicious pasta, and great wine list).

I have a house tour up on Apartment Therapy Chicago! Thanks Janel for asking and taking such lovely photos. I was totally flattered and excited. I also have to admit I was a tiny bit nervous. What if people are mean? What if they don't like our home? Sometimes people can be so unfiltered when it comes to commenting on the internet. I mean there is constructive criticism and then there is just being plain rude. I got over that real quick! The fun thing about the house tours is to see how readers live and decorate their homes. Everyone's home is different and that's why I love seeing a new tour each week.

I have a major crush on everything put out by Sukie! An adorable company out of Brighton, England run by Darrell & Julia Gibbs. They put out journals, notebooks, agendas, and various textiles (teatowels, cushions and hankerchiefs). All printed with great graphics. My two favs are the kids journal (I love the cat riding the various animals on the cover) and the gas station cushion.
